A rebadged car is a car that is the same as another but is from a different brand/model.
Rebadging, also known as rebranding and badge engineering, allows car manufacturers to create different vehicles without designing or engineering a new model or brand.
Usually, rebadged cars have the same chassis and components under the hood. Also, the styling of the vehicle is generally the same, but sometimes there are minor changes.
Manufacturers may opt to create rebadged cars for various reasons. Most of the time, they choose to do so to avoid the cost of engineering an entirely new vehicle.
Rebadging can also happen when a company that owns different car brands wants to market the same car under their brands.
Car brands can also join forces to create a new vehicle and then sell it as their own model.
Another reason automakers rebadge cars is to upgrade a mainstream model to a premium segment by adding different features.
This is a list of the cars that have been most rebadged.
